DESCRIPTION
OF COURSE
Using an Interactive model, Britt, Diepold and Bender (BDB Group) will
teach the basics of evolving thought field therapy (EvTFT) a mind-body-energy
based psychotherapy. The faculty will explore EvTFT roots in psychology,
applied kinesiology and traditional Chinese medicine and teach participants
how to utilize the acupuncture meridian system as a bio-feedback mechanism
to diagnose and treat a variety of psychological disorders including
trauma and the dissociative disorders. They will demonstrate EvTFT's
remarkable effectiveness with adults and children and explain how it
is useful for groups and critical incident settings. Finally, they will
describe its effectiveness in clinical settings and how the model integrates
well with brief therapy approaches as well as most modalities from psychodynamic
to cognitive-behavioral and family systems therapy. Those already familiar
with TFT or EFT will find that the BDB group has greatly enhanced the
original model and provided a strong bridge to traditional psychotherapy.
The Basic Clinical Workshop is designed to teach fundamentals of the
EvTFT diagnostic and treatment procedures. It provides closely supervised
practica, clear didactic presentations and demonstrations, which serve
as a bridge between participants' diverse theoretical backgrounds and
these new clinical protocols. Carefully crafted exercises are used to
ensure clear understanding and use of this methodology.
